Bagna Cauda

The “bagna cauda”, (literally, hot sauce) is a typical dish from the Piedmont. Traditionally it is a dish of the harvest period, then to be consumed mainly in autumn and winter.

One of the legends about his birth just want it to be prepared for harvesters to remove the sweet smell, often almost nauseating, of crushed grapes. It is served whit various types of seasonal vegetables to dip inside it.
